A week in Liverpool–Day2

Sunday 3rd July 2022

After a lazy morning, we started our meanderings with a walk around a ‘craft’ fair set up just across the dock from our mooring. Lots of pretty things, clever things, calorific foodie things and rather odd things. We parted with no cash as we couldn’t see anything we wanted things.

Then over the main road and into the small, but vertiginous (is that a word?) park that leads into the city proper. The shops were heaving but t least the rowdy stag and hen parties had either gone home or else were nursing their hang-overs. We wandered through the lanes and alleys and found ourselves at the Bluecoat art gallery.

Then onto a noodle bar for (Sunday?) lunch. Graham’s Korean choice was very hot, it had the same effect on him as a sauna session.

We wandered back down towards the docks and eventually back to Jannock. Beer o’clock was declared early. Sitting in the front well deck, in the sunshine, it’s perfect for people (and boat, Inc. dragon boats and canoes) watching.
